This was an amazing angst-fest for all the Dean-whumpers out there :D And because the fantastic Jensen Ackles does emotions in such an incredible way, it completely blew me away.

But I must say that even though the alternate reality seemed happier to Dean, it didn't feel that way to me. I mean, yes, he had his mother and a girlfriend and Sam had Jess, but the special bond between the brothers was not there. When Dean said to Carmen that he would make it somehow work between him and Sam, it felt like he was trying to convince himself that there really was a way to repair a relationship that never actually worked in the first place. So, if the choice was mine, I don't know if I would substitute one relationship for another, if I would have stayed in the alternate reality.

But the Djinn was kinda cool. Must be me liking the color blue :D His eyes, the veins in his hands... yikes! That was really well done. And quite original too!

And I was so happy that Sam came to rescue Dean from the Djinn. For once, it was Sam to the rescue :D It wouldn't have been as cool if Dean rescued himself. I bet other fans had a blast with that too!

Oh, and there was the thing with the colors again... After they returned back to the motel room. The red walls... Wow. I don't know how they do it but they sure know how to use coloring to their advantage!

He does, doesn't he? *loves*

Yeah, I know what you mean. I took the whole estrangement as a way of making Dean leaving this other reality bearable myself. Because otherwise, it would have been too awful; if things had been 100% 'perfect', it would have been a hundred times sadder to me. It did hurt that other!Sam and other!Dean were so distant from one another but at the same time I thought, well, now you have a good reason to go back to our reality, Dean; you need to get your brother back.

So to me, the fact that they didn't get on well, that they'd lost their unique bond, it all made Dean's decision to leave it all behind less difficult somehow. Does it make sense?

Yup, it makes perfect sense :))

To be honest, my favorite scene was the one where Sam found Dean in the Djinn's lair. Wow, so intense with him shaking Dean "Wake up, dammit!" *starry eyed*
