Weekend and other stuff

I had a blast this weekend with my lovely dinofly! *kisses* We saw Brno's dragon (which is actually a crocodile :P) and the wheel and the face in the wall and we went up on the view-tower and to a bar (I had Pina Colada and Sex on the Beach :D) and we talked until like 3 AM on both, Friday and Saturday, and then we slept until almost 11 AM and... It was simply amazing! We have to do that again soon :)

And I started translating a new book. It's set in the Dragonlance universe. It's called "Weasel's Luck" and it's written by Michael Williams. It is funny and sarcastic and actually really cute but... and there is a big BUT there with capital letters. Michael Williams started as a poet (he wrote poetry for the first Dragonlance trilogy) and his prose is... well... it does SOUND pretty but it's Hell to translate it. Half of the time I have absolutely no idea how to do it. I do understand what's being said but we simply don't use phrases like that. Ever. Not even in books. I feel like I'm re-writing it, not translating it. 16 pages a day and I'm a goner, really.

I simply couldn't resist and ordered some books yesterday...
Jordan Castillo Price's "PsyCop: Partners" - gay sci-fi/detective story
Kayelle Allen's "At the Mercy of her Pleasure" - a het sci-fi story with a submissive male (my secret kink!)
Larry Townsend's "A Slave's Gambit" - this one I actually bought from BN because it's hopelessly sold out on Amazon :(

I read some slight spoilers for these two eps and if I got it right, Sam will get killed and Dean will somehow bring him back to life. Awesome!

Sorry to hear that Michael Williams prose is being so troublesome, you have my sympathy *hugs* gotta love the use of language...English sucks -_- and I'm an English Major at college *sigh*
Glad that you are enjoying the book though, it never really caught my interest :P

Those books sound interesting, I think I might know the second one and the first one sounds really interesting. *loves detective stories and sci-fi*

I still read 'The Magic in Your Touch' every so often. I like Caine(sp?) the Native American Auto-Mechanic/Restorer friend of the Sheriff's. There needs to be a small more in depth side/back story on him and his deceased husband. Half tempted to write a fan fiction about/on them

Yes, "The Magic in Your Touch" was amazing. I love "happy" gay books much better than the ones that deal with dark themes - for that I can turn on the news. I just finished another cute little book - "Willow Bend" by Ally Blue.

And "Weasel's Luck" reminds me too much of "GoblinQuest". Not the story per se but the main hero. But Goblin was funnier and written better too. I still remember the "Ten Little Goblins" song. So funny! :D

Not sure, I think it was either this past week or the week before...um..it might have even been a commercial for the season finally, I'm not sure. Or maybe it all surrounds the spoilers you posted *shrugs* Sorry I can't tell you much.
