You know, there are things in the Supernatural fandom that I have never come across in any fandom before.

Like some of the questions posted in the [livejournal.com profile] supernatural_tv comm. Usually they go like: "These are my speculations and I want to know what you think will happen but if you read any spoilers and you know what will happen, don't tell me what you know or think you know because I don't want to know." *shakes head* That means that at least a half of the fandom is excluded from replying to this entry. Then why ask it in a comm? Why not post it in their own LJ only? That way, nobody would spoil them...

Or that one LJ member posting their fics in the [livejournal.com profile] supernaturalfic, who goes like: "I know only what will happen in the next episode so don't leave any spoilery comments or speculations and don't use any spoilery icons or tags..." etc. etc. I mean, what? I know that it's their right to be or not to be spoiled for what's coming but to slap a notice like that on a fic that they post in a public FIC comm... That's just weird and makes me roll my eyes.

You know, I am not really not fond of post like your first example, and I roll my eyes on the second - not only that but don't even read the person's fic just out of principle... Anyway, about the first one, I came to the conclusion that the person wants attention or has a very small uninterested friendlist that would probably not even glance at the post, so they need to go to a comm to see if someone notice their post.
I try to only post on [livejournal.com profile] supernatural_tv things that are the interested of the fandom in general, not "hey, my friendlist won't care about this but I'd like to ramble a little so please could someone give me some attention" kind of posts. I really don't like them. Oh, that and the posts asking things that were answered again and again and again. I don't get my the comm is moderated if the mods accept everything, even questions already asked 100 times.
But that's just me.

Exactly! My favorite kind of comms and lists? The story-finding one. At the moment, I'm digging through the archive of [livejournal.com profile] spnstoryfinders and I found some true jewels there :)
