Headache from hell!

Me really didn't feel like working today. The morning was just peachy and everything was okay. But then, after lunch, everything started to blur in front of my eyes and I had to squint really hard and wham! - headache from hell *grumbles*

And sometimes, translating is like playing detective, really. There are no Czech words for (for example) "scry" or "snarl" or "clear one's throat" so you have to dance around the topic to explain what the heck is going on. And then there is the fact that in Czech, it's not possible to repeat the same words again and again - okay, it is possible but it sounds horrible. In English, you can say "he said" and "she said" and "he said"... This makes me climb up the wall because I have to find synonyms of synonyms of synonyms... X(

Oh, and lets not forget the "common" speech like "doin'" and "betcha". Another cute thing. I don't speak common Czech, I usually use literary language, even in normal life, so to find the Czech equivalents is really fun (/sarcasm).

So yeah, I translated 20 pages, reached the end of the chapter and decided that that's enough for today. But no matter the complaining, I still love my job. Adore it. To pieces, really! :D

*hug and kiss* dearest you are doing nicely and yes sometimes it is pain in the ass...ehm i think this is another ehm untranslate thing :P YOu are doing nicely I hope that it will be fine again and I think some books are poorly written and those are hard to translate. I am not pro so take my words as babaling of total unaware person:)
