Graduation ceremony!
Oct. 17th, 2006 08:39 pmI graduated today! O.O The ceremony was... boring, really. There were over 40 students there awaiting their graduation and it took us almost an hour and a half to get our diploma. Then the dean held her speech *groans* I hate that woman. We had our disagreements in the past because she is an overbearing old hag who sticks her nose where it doesn't belong. I hate her so much that I don't even greet her. On purpose. Because I know that it's pissing her off like nothing else *is spiteful*
But on the other hand, I graduated "cum laude" - straight A's all five years - so it was great to hear them say it. It was a sort of satisfaction after studying like crazy for the good grades... Studying stuff that I don't use at all these days. Well, I love the job I have more than any other I could have won thanks to this diploma anyway.
But obviously, the whole ceremony is a theater for the relatives etc. etc. Paint me weird but I could care less. My mum on the other hand, was all touchy feely. I was just happy that I could put the whole circus behind me and return to my peaceful and quiet life.
Oh, I looked really good though. We don't wear black gowns for the graduation ceremony so I chose a light violet knitwear costume which is so comfy and looks really great at the same time :)
