Black Blood Brothers - subbed by Kyuu. Vampires, brothers, scary stuff and fluff too. After seeing the first episode, it's quite interesting. Although the costume of the main hero is rather ridiculous! XP

Busou Renkin - subbed by Kyuu. Alchemy, monsters, a mysterious girl and a boy who gets himself killed in the first two minutes of the first episode. Looks good. It's not excellent and there seem to be a lot of "ghost-hunter" anime there this season, but it raised my interested nonetheless.

Death Note - subbed by Live-Evil. It's not bad. But after the first episode, I don't understand what the whole humbuck around this manga/anime is about, really. It's good but I think that there are quite some better anime this season :( I will keep watching because everyone is. Blame me! :P

Ghost Hunt - subbed by ureshii. I would say that this anime is more interesting than the above mentioned DN one. Interesting characters and no unsure, moon-struck boy as the main hero. It's about a girl who has to become the assistant of a Psychic investigator. I will definitely keep watching.

Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru - subbed by GNU. A boy is forced by his grandfather's will to attend an all-girls school, dressed as a girl of course. A cross-dressing anime on the same light note like Princess Princess. Funny!

Shounen Onmyouji - subbed by DBZLD. Woohoo! What a ride. It's an anime similar to Tactics with light m/m moments that make my heart melt. I love Mokkun and his other persona very much too! It's about a boy who is the descendant of the famous Abe no Seimei but has no special abilities of his own. That is, until he meets this weird, talking... thing. Excellent. But the subbers are very very bad. Not their translation but there are so many mistakes that sometimes, you miss the meaning completely. I hope someone else will pick it up. I would switch subbers immediately.

Sumomo mo Momo mo - subbed by Megami. "Lets engage in child production." That're the first words of the OP. I think that sums up the plot and tells you exactly, how serious this anime is. The daughter of a dojo master is not strong enough to learn his special technique. And thus her father wants her to marry and bear the children of the other martial art clan's son. But this son is not really that... well... Light, funny stuff! :D

Part 3 to come!

And I decided to change my mood icons - The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

I don't understand what the whole humbuck around this manga/anime is about, really.

If you don't mind me saying, it's because you haven't seen the good stuff yet. I've read more than half the manga, and I loved it. The anime has just barely gotten started. ^____^

i was going to say the exact same thing, i read all the manga and once my head caught up with all the twists and counter twists between L and Kira i was gripped, i might not have always known what was going on, but i wanted to find out more, and then when i walked away and gave the brain time to take it in it made sense.

I was wrong by the way (about the spoiler) but the second half is just as convoluted as the first.

As I said to Sharon, I've been spoiled and I know how vol. 7 of the DN manga ends. And because I know what happens and because that made me rather sad even though I didn't read the manga, I really can't get into the anime now :(

he gets replaced by someone else (and doesn't want to spoil it) and finds it alot more complicated than he thought.
i don't know about the anime but i did read the manga
I'll up it for you if you want to read it.
what amazed me for having read all of it was i really didn't like Light at all. Misa's fun though.

You know, I don't like it when characters get replaced, no matter how cute the new guy on the block is. It feels too much like when they wrote out Michael Praed from the British version of Robin Hood and replaced him with Jason Connery :( In my oppinion, it totally spoiled the show.

But don't worry. I will keep watching. I don't promise to buy the manga or read the scanlation but I will keep watching the anime. Scout's honor :D

I think that the problem I have with Death Note is that I know how vol 7 (I think it was 7) ends. And because I know what will happen to some of the characters, I just can't get into it. I can't say more or I would spoil it for you :(

It was chapter 58, and I know. That's when I stopped reading. ^_~ I think knowing some of what will happen in advance actually helps me this time.

I just can't get into stuff that I know from the beginning won't end up good. It's the whole train-wreck thing and I'm really not into that :(

the ending is different from what you think, it goes on a lot longer than you think and becomes incredibly twisted but you can't get attached to anyone because the series just doesn't give a crap about life and L's successor is a lot more dangerous, and just as cute.
