I love my job!
Sep. 3rd, 2006 11:59 pmIt's great to get paid for just lazing around and reading books *goofy grin* I've just finished Robert Stanek's "Keeper Martin's Tale, Book One of the Ruin Mist Chronicles". It was... your average fantasy story where you follow the path of three heroes who don't know each other but set out on a journey at the same time, go through various adventures from wading through swamps to ambushes on the open sea to were-creatures in deep forests, meet later in the book and fight together in a great battle against an evil enemy before their paths separate again. I still don't understand why this book is called "Keeper Martin's Tale" when Martin is just a secondary character to Princess Adrina, the Elf Seth and the magically gifted boy Vilmos but who am I to argue with the author, right?
I wouldn't have chosen this book on my own but my boss wanted to know what it is about. I know way better fantasy books but I bet that the Czech readers will love this one - you see, whenever I say that something is bad, it turns out a bestseller. Yup, paint me weird XD
