Of drabbles and manga

katikatI just finished the drabbles I promised to the winners of my little mini-quiz and sent them to my beta. Hopefully, tomorrow you will be able to see the results! :)
I just read the most touching manga - "I Want To Become Your Bird" by Homerun Ken. Nakama and others are scanlating it but I've found only 4 chapters so far. But it's a one-shot so it shouldn't take long to have the whole thing scanlated.
It's a very bitter-sweet story about a young boy, Kei, who has never experienced love before. He lets his art teacher use him as a sex toy and doesn't even realize how lonely he is until he falls in love with his big sister's boyfriend. Finally he finds happiness but it doesn't last long.
This manga is so very very sad. The monologues where Kei wonders why he didn't die instead of his mother, where he realizes that even if he vanished, the world would keep turning as if nothing happened and nobody would wonder what happened to him... They break your heart.
I love the manga very much but I have this bad feeling that this one won't have a happy end. I hope that I'm wrong though :(
