On the Wings of the Breeze (a Koji/Takuto piece)

The breeze blowing in off the sea swung the hammock gently, making it creak under the weight of the two bodies resting in it.

Drawing his lover closer, Koji peered down at the sleeping face nestled on his shoulder. He frowned seeing the deep lines that marred Takuto’s forehead. The painter was dreaming bad dreams again. Worried, Koji caressed the furrowed brows with his forefinger until the lines smoothed out and a small smile settled on his lover’s pale lips.

Satisfied, Koji kissed the top of Takuto’s head and closing his eyes he joined the painter in an afternoon nap.

Agh! I am downloading Gakuen Heaven now! I haven't watched anything yet but I did read a chapter of the manga... and boy am I confused. There are SOOOOOOO many pretty boys!!! Well, if I survived PoT, I should do okay, huh?

So... is this a canon pairing?

This anime is very good. And you can say that this pairing is rather canon - as much as there are any canon pairings that is (all the characters have their moments with Keita, the main boy). But Koji and Takuto are the most obvious are the most obvious secondary pairing to the Keita/Kazuki. Iwai Takuto is the painter. He seems very fragile and timid and you have the feeling that something really bad must have happened to him since it always looks like one harsh word could break him. Shinomiya Koji on the other hand is as steadfast as a rock. He is the archer and head of the dorms. When one is there, the other is usually lurking in the background. Koji always takes care of Takuto - he tells him to eat more and gives him his shampoo when they bath together... and there was this scene where it was made pretty much obvious that EVERYBODY thinks that Takuto has feelings for Koji. It was pretty funny but I don't want to spoil you too much. I would say that the most canon-ish pairings are

Kazuki/Keita
Koji/Takuto
Kaoru (the Queen)/Omi
Hideaki (always reffered to as Nakajima-san :D)/Tetsuya (the King)

But as I said, these are just the most obvious ones. You can actually pair the King and the Queen or Hideaki and Omi too... And Keita with everybody :D

Lovely drabble! ♥ That captures the works of their relationship. Koji really is the steadying element. And he seems to be the type who would go for the small caring gestures.
I just remembered that he seems to like cooking and when I remember correctly he takes Keita to a shrine on their date (in the game). So I see why he has this calming effect especially on Takuto who apparently likes being cared for.
That still doesn't shed a light on Takuto's character but I hope that there will be a way to find more about him.

oh my, don't want to spam your journal... Just wanted to add that we really share some interests. I really like most of the anime you mentioned here. *amazed* Haha, I just love Bleach. And Black Lagoon is really pure crack... ok I will stop ranting now.

I'm happy that they didn't center the anime too much around Keita. Yes, he is the main character but it's good that not everybody is pining after him. In my oppinion, Keita belongs with Kazuki. But I like the secondary pairings better. I think that Kaoru and Omi have the most interesting dynamics... I loved how Kaoru commented on Omi and his sweet tooth :P

And I'm also happy that you like the drabble. I haven't written anything in ages! 8)

Yep, I think the secondary pairings have more potential. Not that I don't like Keita/Kazuki but somehow that's so much in canon it's not as fascinating as other pairings could be. Omi/Keita was really nice in the game. The anime and the background stories don't make it one of the more obvious pairings (and Kaoru is still around I doubt he would like his knight being taken away from him) but I still think it's a nice crack-pairing. Omi is so sweet/scary and the seiyuu really fits his character I think.
