The age of the PoT characters...

... rather confuses me. According to the character profiles Ryoma should be - as a freshman - 12 years old. So that means that Momo-senpai and Kaidoh are 13 O.O!! And Tezuka, Inui etc. 14?!! I mean, that's ridiculous (could you imagine Atobe! being 14? Or Kabaji 13?!). So, I looked up some informations about the Secondary Education in Japan. According to this info, the club activities - such as the tennis club in PoT - are really important and pursued in the Upper-Secondary Level, which would be grades 10-12. And that would make Ryoma 15 or so and Tezuka and the others around 18 years old. Yup, that fits just fine. So, from now on, I will write my stories in this setting *nods*

Yep. XD You just have to keep reminding yourself that they're only 12-14 years old because the way they're drawn and their seiyuus don't help you at all. XDDD

Nope, for me, they are High School students. Otherwise, I could be arrested for writing child pr0n! O.o

*nods* When I first started in the fandom some 2 years ago, that was my thought exactly! ^___^ I think it was originally written with them being in high school. Then the age was dropped to bring in more readers. ^^; Yeah, like these kids could be 13 or 14.

I think many writers age them a bit when they write. ^^;
