katikat | Movies on DVD 35/50: Colombiana

Zoe Saldana kicks so much ass in this movie. I love that she's so bad-ass and immensely capable and ruthless - and yet, she loves her family and she loves her boyfriend, if she could even call him that, that is, with all the things she's keeping from him. I love that she's not a robot, but a 3D female character, which doesn't happen very often. I wish we got more movies like this, that would showcase all the sides a woman can have, that would not portray women only as mothers and nurturers, but as someone to be reckoned with!
