Still not liking the Jamie Moriarty arc. I'm not a fan of Natalie Dormer - I just can't get over the fact that she always looks like she's sucking a rancid lemon - and I don't like that they smooshed together two of the most amazing characters in the Holmes canon: Moriarty and Irene Adler.
I liked that Sherlock started teaching Joan how to investigate and that she took to it so well. That was fantastic. One of my favorite scenes is the bit where she changes her occupation from sober companion to consulting detective in her social media profile and looks so proud and happy.
Jonny Lee Miller is a fantastic actor, but I don't like the way his Holmes is styled. He always looks like a dirty, smelly hobo. I can't help it, I just find that styling choice quite disgusting. Other than that, I love the way he says, "BUT!" That's funny.
So yeah, I still wish they had gone a different direction with the whole Moriarty thing, especially since it's a big plot point of this show's story and it will keep coming up. I just hope that, since it's solved, Irene and Moriarty's story is mostly done for now.
