This Really Hits Me...
Jul. 4th, 2014 12:00 am... On a very personal level. There are rumors flying around about Vin Diesel acting "oddly" on the set of F&F7, staying in his trailer all day long and so on: link. I think... I think it's really hard for him to continue this movie without Paul Walker. He responded very kindly to these rumors, IMHO:
They say Paul Walker was his best friend. But I wonder... I wonder if Vin Diesel actually realized that before Paul's death. Or if it didn't hit him until now just much he misses Paul and how much Paul actually meant to him. I mean, rumors always said that Vin was a bit of a diva and I think Paul's laid-back attitude compensated for it, he made everything run smoother just by being there, acting like a buffer between Vin and the rest of the crew. And I wonder if everybody's just now realizing just how big a part he had played in the production.
Fuck! Pardon my French but every time I think I'm over Paul Walker's death, something like this happens and I start bawling again.
He always knew I would fight for hiim, whether it was to protect his deal or to protect his integrity, and he knew that if it made for a better film, I was going to do whatever it took. It is why together, we won best duo twice, 12 years apart.
