Doctor Who 201-213

katikatWell. David Tennant is definitely a better Doctor than Christopher Eccleston, at least IMHO. Still, David Tennant is not as good as Matt Smith, so there's that. But overall, I like 10. 9 rubbed me the wrong way but that must've been my strong antipathy towards Eccleston at work.
One thing I'm grateful for: we've finally, FINALLY gotten rid of Rose Tyler! She annoyed the heck outta me. The way she clung to the Doctor all the time. She literally had no life outside the Doctor. Like Mickey, she completely dismissed him, her boyfriend of how many years? I've seen people bash Amy but at least Amy had a husband and a job outside her travels with the Doctor. But Rose did not. And the way she was jealous of every other person in the Doctor's life! Of Mary Jane and Madam Pompadour, even of Mickey when the Doctor allowed him to travel with them! I'm so happy that Rose is gone now. I can't wait to see more of Donna!
Hm, there was one thing that annoyed me terribly about the 10th Doctor: the way he behaved towards Mickey. Yes, he reluctantly allowed him to travel with them but he completely dismissed him, Mickey was literally air to him. He did not care one iota about what happened to Mickey. That was incredibly irritating and I guess one of the reasons why 10 sometimes rubs me wrong, too, though not nearly as much as 9 did.
My favorite episodes where The Impossible Planet and The Satan Pit. I prefer it when the Doctor explores unknown planets and space stations. Not London. London - even in various time periods - gets boring after a while. But those two eps? That was real space based sci-fi, a real space adventure! And the special effects were amazing, especially the huge Satan!
And I'm done with S2!
