For those not in-the-know, Stalia is the fandom name for Stiles/Malia on Teen Wolf, the pairing that's about to become officially canon tonight when the show returns for its 4th season - and boy, is the fandom getting its panties in the twist because of it, it's kinda hilarious! - but I don't care: I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT! There have been several interviews with Shelley Hennig who plays Malia and gosh, this pairing will push all my dominant!girl and protective!girl buttons!
- I love how unique their relationship is. First of all, coyotes are very loyal and faithful animals. When they find their [mate], they mate for life. Malia has found this in Stiles, and she’s not going anywhere; she is 100 percent there for him. Whatever he asks her to do, she will do. She trusts him. What I also love about their relationship is that it’s something I haven’t seen on TV. Malia’s very aggressive. She’ll physically grab him, and that means she loves him, as opposed to brushing his face with her hands. She’s more likely to punch him; that’s her way of showing love. It’s like Malia’s the big spoon, and Stiles is the little spoon. Dylan [O'Brien] has been so gracious as an actor to accept that and not be like, ‘No, I’m a man.’ He’s so fun to work with because he’s willing to shrink around her. (x)
- Like I said, she's loyal to him. He's who she lives for, really. It sounds kind of desperate and pathetic in human terms -- in high school, you shouldn't put so much stock to someone of the opposite sex. You need to grow into who you are before you can fully be there for somebody else. But, that being said, this is a supernatural show. And Malia doesn't have a family. Stiles has shown his loyalty to her, and there's a huge connection there. So they will definitely be a great team. But in that -- as in real life -- there comes some turmoil here and there, things will come up that sort of puts them at a crossroads. (x)
MAN! This is everything I've wanted from their ship. It's like Xmas in July! \o/
