katikatAnd I'm done with the season. Hm, how to sum it up? The first half is boring as hell. Loosely connected standalone fillers. It got better around 113 and when Colson found the dead alien in the box. But when it got really good was around episode 116, in the episodes that followed Captain America: The Winter Soldier. They finally lost the standalone format and went serialized and it was much better, much more suspenseful.
Bullet points:
* Biggest surprise? Skye. She turned out to be amazing which was a shock to me because I couldn't stand her at the beginning.
* Biggest letdown? Ward. When he went bad, I hoped for something more interesting than a pathetic loser that he turned out to be. He has always been a follower who couldn't think for himself but did he really have to be this pathetic?
* Greatest addition? Trip!
* Biggest bore? John Garrett.
* My OTP? FitzSimmons. They made me actually bawl in the season finale. I wonder just how brain-damaged Fitz will be after his drowning... :(
So, it turned out to be a good show but I still feel like it was a letdown, it took them 2/3 of a season to actually get going. That's way too long. I hope they learned from their mistakes and S2 will be much more suspenseful.
