Catching Fire

Went to see The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. And loved it! It really surprised me because I found the first one mediocre. But this one hit me in all the right places.
The relationship between Katniss and Peeta... Wow, I loved it. I loved how it progressed, that they became friends at the very least. I loved that Katniss went from politely indifferent to fearing separation from him. And when she found out he was captured... Man, the girl went berserk! And I love that Peeta is clearly the nurturer - but I also loved that he wasn't useless this time around, that he actually helped fighting.
I loved Haymitch, Cinna, Effie, Mags and Finnick. Effie actually made me cry! And I'm glad that Finnick survived this movie. I have a soft spot for Sam Claflin - I loved him in Snow White and the Huntsman, even though I didn't ship his William with Snow, and he was the best part of PotC4.
I would give it 8/10. I enjoyed it as much as Thor: The Dark World, but I'm not as fannishly obsessed with it, I like it for different reasons.
