MMM: #23 Shooter

An average movie with the ever bland Mark Wahlberg. I'm really glad I didn't went to see it in the cinema, it would've been such a disappointment. And seriously, how is Wahlberg still getting jobs? He has one expression for every situation. Yes, he's great with the physical stuff, but facial acting is really not his strong suit.Who was a real star of the movie, though, that was Michael Pena as Nick Memphis. I loved that he used his smarts to figue out the whole plot and when push came to shove, he grabbed a gun and kicked major ass. Though I do have to tell, his switch from "You're under arrest" to "Let's blow up a bunch of people" was awfully fast.
The movie itself... It wasn't bad but neither did it get my blood pumping. And the scene in the mountains, when Bob destroyed the recording - talk about unnecessarily convoluted. Why? What was the point of that scene? What the effing eff? The movie wasn't all that logical up to this point - but this? WHY?! *hands*
