You know, I never realized that Tom Cruise's Oblivion was basically a copy of this movie in many, many ways. Not in all, sure, no aliens here, still... I don't know which movie I like better. Possibly Oblivion because it's more action driven. On the other hand, Moon has an amazing score, written by Clint Mansell - stunning!

You know, I wonder if there was an expiration date for the clones, those three years, or if the one that managed to escape survived after all. Hm. I think there really was an expiration date. That's why so many clones. That's why three years. That's why were all the clones sick at the end of their stay.

One thing I really loved was the relationship between Sam and Gerty. Before I saw 2001: A Space Odyssey, I hoped HAL would be like Gerty. Alas. Gerty was awesome. Yes, it - or better said he - had its own programming, sure, but first and foremos, he was loyal to Sam. That was great. And I loved the smiley faces he used to indicate his mood.

To sum it up, a great sci-fi movie. I don't know why I waited so long to actually watch it.

As far as chilly science-fiction movies go, I recently watched "Europa Report", which, while less existential, is very good. I have yet to watch Moon though. :(
