I love this movie! But not because of Bruce Willis, who is funny but who seems to play the same character over and over in his movies. I adore Helen Mirren and John Malkovich in this. But especially Karl Urban, whose character is basically the only "serious" or "normal" guy there. Gosh, how much I love Karl Urban, let me count the ways! Man, he does it for me like few others out there. And in this movie, his charisma! He completely overshadows his much more famous co-stars. His on-screen presence is simply mind-blowing. And the development of his character over the course of the movie is simply perfect. And his "Fuck you, Cynthia" is oh so LOL-worthy! So, yeah, KARL URBAN!
Other than that, I really liked the relationship between Victoria and Ivan. That was so incredibly sweet *_* Lovely stuff.
Still haven't seen RED 2. Once I found out that Karl Urban wasn't in it, I lost interest. Now I want to see it only because of Byung-hun Lee, to be honest.
