Cinema: Jurassic World

I didn't plan on seeing this in the cinema - the trailer was kind of boring and I've never been a fan or the original movies or of dinosaurs - but most people seemed to be totally smitten with the movie and since I was having a lunch with friends anyway, we thought, what the hell. And went to see it.

Not bad. I would rate it 8/10. The special effects were stunning, of course, just like the music. But for me, the highlight wasn't the dinos, but Chris Pratt. Good grief, he's amazing. Who would've thought just two years back that one day soon, he would be an action star! Broad-shouldered, lean as a whip, tanned action star. I loved his character, Owen, and Owen's relationship with Claire. I couldn't really sympathize with Claire for most of the movie, she was a pretty self-centered snob, but I think that her icy shell started to crack when she thought that ( spoilers! )

And now, I hope that both Owen and Claire will be back for the next movie and as a couple, too. That would be awesome!

Also, I'm glad that this movie is a hit - $1 billion in 14 days worldwide! - I'm always happy when my favorite actors' films do well!
