Cast: Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo
Rating: 8/10
Definitely better than the first movie. It felt more balanced, like everybody had something to do, really important stuff, and there were fewer "empty" scenes.
My favorite part was definitely Vision. Good God, he was amazing! Paul Bettany was stunning in that part. I'm so curious about what's in store for him next! Another thing I really loved was the sense of friendship among these characters, especially between Tony, Steve and Thor, Tony and Bruce, and Natasha and Clint.
And then there were Thor and Steve. There was this deep... intimacy between them, it was very lovely yet strange, like there was a whole story between these two that we’ve somehow missed. The way they joked together, the way Steve took notice of Thor’s actions, the way they worked together, like a perfectly oiled machine - it started in the first film already, when they fought together against the alien army in NY, but here, it was another level completely, their awareness of each other, as if they were telepathically linked, they anticipated each other’s moves to an eerie degree. Slash fodder, folks!
What I didn't like was Quicksilver. Dishrag has more personality, TBH. XMDOFP's Quicksilver was much better. Even in his limited time, he stole every scene with his smart-ass comments. Ultron's was simply... there.
So yes, I was very happy with it!
