Cataleya kicked ass, as a child and as an adult. She always knew what she wanted - her parents' killers - and she went after the guys with vengeance. I loved that she had contingency plans and contingency plans should her contingency plans fail. Loved that she didn't just stand around, wringing her hands, but actually did something, kicked ass, always found a way out, even if it meant crawling through the sewers. You go, girl!

Priest

Priest is visually stunning. The setting is quite breathtaking. And the story itself rather original. I don't think I have ever come across a vampire story like that. Other than that, though?

I had a hard time connecting with the characters on an emotional level. Not that I didn't like them, it's just... I don't know. What I did like was that the Priest and the Priestess didn't get together. That would've been totally OOC. Yes, she loved him, and yes, he had feelings for her too. But he was devoted to God first and foremost and she respected that. And it didn't mean they couldn't be friends and fight side by side. I really liked that. It was very... mature, I would say.

The highlight, though? Karl Urban as Black Hat. Oh. My. God! He has never been more attractive than in this movie. I mean, he played the villain but... Wow, just wow! Purrfection! *happy sigh*
