"When I Say When" by Tia Fielding

Rating: ♠ ♠ ♠

Free short story. And quite a nice one too with tastefully done sex scenes and a bit of humor too. This author definitely has potential.

"With Eyes Wide Open" by cleflink | AU | Sherlock/John | In which souls are deceptively easy to see and no one can quite figure out what the deal is with Sherlock and John. Magic realism. | ~8.000

She could see Sherlock's soul.

She felt the thrill of the chase, the slickness of wet pavement and the bite of fierce exultation, all wrapped up in an almost domestic calmness that felt like warm wool and quiet.

The contact lasted less than a second; Sherlock's eyes shuttered immediately, returning to their characteristic blankness so quickly that Molly would actually have doubted what she'd seen if it hadn't been so completely unprecedented.

Wonderful. Truly wonderful. I love magical realism and souls and characters being special and stuff like that. Lovely...

The Hobbit has made $825 mil. worldwide already! Woohoo! It's said that the movie cost $250 mil. to make. Even if it's true, it now made over 3x that amount! Just a little more, pet! Just a bit more to shut up the haters. Please!

♦ The movie was really... boring. God, it was so unbelievably boring. It didn't get interesting until the very last battle. Everything else was... well, boring. I'm so glad I didn't pay the full price for this DVD but fished it out of Datart's cheap bin.

♦ I liked Alice in the real world, I liked her attitude and that she chose to travel the world and actually make something of herself, not just marry and settle for the easiest thing available. But I didn't like Alice in the Wonderland. She just rubbed me wrong, I don't even know why.

♦ And Johnny Depp played an eccentric character - again. He was excellent as the Mad Hatter - but I'm so tired of Depp playing a nut in a Tim Burton movie. It's nothing surprising or new or exciting anymore but same old, same old.

♦ My favorite character was actually the Red Queen. I hoped she would be redeemed because all she wanted was to be loved and yet, everybody has always loved the White Queen more, even their parents. And I don't get why. The White Queen annoyed the heck outta me, fluttering around like a deranged moth.

♦ So yeah, eh. I don't get the hype. Maybe because I have never read the book. In my country, Alice and her adventures aren't all that popular. It just isn't a part of our cultural heritage.
