First trailer for The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones appeared. I'll just link it - link - not embed it because Viacom is going crazy, shutting down every reposted copy of it. That's something I don't get - don't you make a trailer to spread it among people and let them know about the movie? Make them interested? How does it help you to go after those who liked it enough to spread it further? I don't get it *hands*

But back to the trailer - it looks really good. And I like Lily Collins. I haven't read the books and I don't plan to read them either, at least not in the foreseeable future, but the trailer looks rather good. Really kick-ass.

You know, watching all the Marvel movies in one row, seeing how it all comes together, the tiny pieces and the big things, everything that leads to The Avengers... It's pretty amazing, let me tell you. The whole Marvel universe seems so rich and broad and full of amazing things and wonderful characters...

I still remember seeing the first teaser trailer to The Avengers at the end of the movie, my heart was so aflutter with joy I could barely stand it. And even now, when I see it, when I hear the thumping beat, it makes me want to clap my hands with glee! And when I watch the extras, like The Assembly Begins on the Captain America DVD or The Road to the Avengers on the Thor DVD, it feels... it feels like bearing witness to something marvelous, something epic that the world has never seen before - and the $1.5 billions at the box office would suggest it's true.

My favorite Avenger is Thor, I freely admit that - but Steve Rogers is definitely the most likable of them. Tony and Thor, they pretty much started their journey as arrogant jerks but Steve was the sweetest and bravest guy under the sun from the get-go, even skinny and frail. And he never stopped being sweet and brave, that was the best thing about him, he didn't become drunk on power.

I watched the movie with the audio commentary and it was so funny to hear the director and the others fanboy about Chris Evans. It was adorable. They talked about how they made him skinny and how many green screen shots they needed and how fast Chris could actually run and that he ended up doing most of his stunts because he made them look more real and more effortless than the stuntmen.

And out of all the female heroines in the Marvel movies, I like Peggy best. She and Steve were simply perfect and the last scene they had together, where they talked over the radio, it never fails to make me cry. It's the most bittersweet, sad thing in the whole Marvel movie universe ;_;

Out of all the upcoming Marvel Phase 2 movies, I look forward to Captain America: The Winter Soldier most because I can't wait to actually see the Winter Soldier himself and learn more about his past with Natasha and see Steve's reaction... \o/
