"And I would like to be called 'cupcake'"
Aug. 27th, 2012 12:07 amI would like to start marathoning Teen Wolf S2 soon, that's why I clicked through eps 101-106 again, you know, to remind myself of what S1 was about. And looking back, my favorite part of the show has always been the relationship between Stiles and his father, Sheriff Stilinski. There's just something about these two that tugs at my heart. I love that both Stiles' father and Scott's mother aren't simply token parents, that they are a big part of the show.
My favorite bit, character-wise, between 101 and 106 took place in episode 105, the parents-teacher conference. It revealed so much about the kids, it gave them personalities, qualities and flaws, it made them richer and more three-dimensional. The part about Jackson, Lydia and Stiles... Scott's and Allison's issues are really out there, in your face. But those three... It especially humanized Jackson and Lydia in my eyes. And made me love Stiles even more.
Because Stiles? My favorite character in the show. I always root for the sarcastic character with a deadpan sense of humor (see my obsession with Sheppard and McKay). And the way he keeps commenting on what's going on in the town? It's hilarious. I hope Stiles gets a juicy storyline of his own soon too, that he won't just always run after Scott to clean up his mess.
Oh, and bad CGI aside, the S1 alpha is really, really scary! Lurking in the dark with his eyes glowing red... Yikes. Talk about a nightmare!
