It looks like The Hobbit might end up being a trilogy after all: link.

THR reports that they have sources close to The Hobbit telling them that Jackson is indeed pushing forward with his intention to turn The Hobbit into a trilogy – a plan that would require the cast and crew to reconvene for additional shooting (which, it is speculated, would take place next summer). The report also states that “Warner Bros., Jackson, producer Fran Walsh and writer-producer Philippa Boyens” began talks after Comic-Con to see if The Hobbit 3 is a feasible endeavor; those talks are said to have accelerated recently, with the studio giving its blessing on the new addition – if a reasonable budget can be worked out.

If it were the studio pushing for it, I might be wary but since it's Jackson himself, I'm ALL for it! If he thinks there's material enough to expand the duology into a trilogy, I trust him. I want to see more of the Middle-Earth and of the elves and dwarves and now that Martin Freeman's playing Bilbo even of the hobbits. Peter Jackson hasn't let me down yet, his LotR movies are a pleasure to watch. So, if he thinks he can make it work then, IMHO, HE CAN MAKE IT WORK! And sheesh on all the naysayers. They haven't even seen it yet but they already KNOW it will be a disaster. Are they for real? :-/

This is a pic from "House of M" - and it gives me FEELINGS! Why is it always Charles who dies on Erik time and time and time again in comic books, movies, animated series...? It's so incredibly sad to see Erik mourn Charles.

"The Two Swords (Hunter's Blades #3)" by R.A. Salvatore

Would you believe that I actually rooted for the orcs? I would've liked the book so much more if it had been just about the dwarves against the orcs. I loved Obould's rise to power, his vision. And I loved reading about the dwarves, how they all united against the enemy and how they kicked major butt with the help of Nanfoodle the gnome and Pikel the "doo-da". Those parts were awesome, the back and forth between the two armies. The rest though...

The only characters who actually went forward and made real progress were Nanfoodle the gnome and Regis the halfling - who were, together with Pikel Bouldershoulder, my favorite characters. Catti-brie? I don't want Drizzt, I do want Drizzt, I don't, I do... Wulfgar? Still having feelings for Catti-brie. Delly Curtie? From a strong woman back to a jealous, stupid harpy. Drizzt? First price for incessant whining. Innovindil? Trying to be the wise teacher but mostly totally confusing Drizzt. And let's not even talk about the self-centered Galen Firth!

You know, this was the first book that made me actually dislike Drizzt. Not only his cowardice that stopped him from going back to Mithral Hall but also his endless ruminating and his, dare I say, arrogance and hypocrisy. Pshaw, he can take care of Obould, no problem! How dare Obould talk about fairness when he's wearing an impenetrable armor - says the guy with the magic swords and anklets! There's no room for orcs among good people - says the frickin' dark elf living among them!

To sum it up: How can I give a book more than 2 stars when I intensely disliked the main hero?

So, I decided to start reading the X-Men comic books. But where to begin? Have you seen the mess that's the X-Men continuity and whatnot? In the end, I told myself, screw it. Just pick one list and follow it chronologically, girl! Do not try to figure out how it all fits together, you'll break your brain! And thus...

"Essential Classic X-Men Vol. 1" was bought! I got it for Ł12 incl. shipping from Amazon UK. Ł12 for an omnibus with 528 pages? Not bad. I namely decided to follow the list of trade paperbacks here: list. Trying to figure out any other list was seriously making my eyes spin in their sockets.
