From the production notes of TDKR: link.

It happened in the midst of a massive crowd scene on Wall Street in Manhattan, during a fight sequence between their two characters.

“It was the first time I ever heard Christian say he was tired,” Hardy remembers. “I was watching him for however many months getting beaten up and wet and cold, and he never said anything. Inside, I was dying, but I was thinking, ‘This can’t bother me because he’s not bothered.’ But on Wall Street, he just turned and said, ‘You know what? I’m exhausted.’ I said, ‘Me too.’”

“We stopped the fight and started hugging each other,” Bale adds.

I don't like Christian Bale much, as an actor, I mean - the same goes for Anne Hathaway, actually - but this made me go all "Aww..." It's so sweet.

Brett & Danny, The Persuaders

The Persuaders is, hands down, my favorite old TV show. Whenever Kabel1 aired it, I was there, glued to the television. I've already seen it in English, German and Polish! And the reason why I love it so? Brett Sinclair and Danny Wilde!

These two couldn't be more different - Brett is an English aristocrat, the cool as a cucumber type, whereas Danny is your Tony Stark like American businessman, smart, loud and with self-confidence up the wazoo - so it's no wonder that their very first face to face meeting ended in fisticuffs and before a judge - who recruited them to help him solve crimes. But, seriously, the crime solving is SO not the point here, Brett and Danny's theatrics on the other hand will make you LOL like nothing else!

Sometimes, these two don't see each other for weeks or even months in a row, but when they meet again, it's like no time has passed. And whether it's someone killing off Brett's family - seriously, THE BEST EPISODE EVER, I had tears in my eyes, it was so hilarious! - or Danny defending his little ruin cottage from smugglers, they always have a blast together. But it's not just shallow fun, they genuinely care about each other. Like when someone kidnapped and brainwashed Brett or when they were smuggling someone over a border, hiding from the mafia, and Brett was late - Danny got so worried... It was really sweet.

I need to re-watch the show soon! Lovely, lovely stuff and so feel!good, it'll make you grin like a loon!

So, what have I been doing these last few evenings? Listening to "The Paradox Series" by wordstring again, as read by fayjay, bronwyn and revolutionaryjo! This is, hands down, one of the best Sherlock fanfic series ever written and I love to re-visit it regularly. Sherlock is utterly mad in this one, like seriously off his rocker! Yet his and John's relationship works so well, it's a thing of utter perfection. As Sherlock says in the last part, "John is like Babelfish, English to Sherlock, without ever having been programmed." Yes, it makes me very, very happy...
