Day 30: Couple you will still ship a few years from now

Sherlock Holmes and John Watson, any incarnation

These two... They're pretty much the prototype of a slash pairing. Holmes doesn't care for women one iota and it doesn't matter if you see him as a preoccupied heterosexual, an asexual or a gay. Watson's married - once or three times, it depends on to which theory you subscribe - but he always, ALWAYS comes back to Holmes, returns to sharing a flat with him. I mean, come on!

So yeah, these two will always be shipped by me!

Aaaaaaaaaaaand I'm done with this meme.

"The Man With the Golden Torc (Secret Histories #1)" by Simon R. Green

♦ ♦ ♦

Another series by Simon R. Green in the vein of "Nightside". The stories are actually pretty similar, both in style and in the language Green chose, which bothered me a bit at first. John Taylor and Eddie Drood are pretty interchangeable, at least in this novel, which is why I gave it only 3 stars.

But that doesn't mean I didn't like it. It was hilariously funny in places and I really love the prospect of the Drood family with Eddie at its helm. Hopefully, we'll get to know more of his relatives, there's a wealth of possibilities there!

"Incipit" by thehoyden, read by twilight | AU | Arthur/Eames | Arthur has been his editor from the beginning. Eames says he won't work with anyone else, and what Arthur will never tell him is that he would cut anyone who tried. | 1hr. 5min.

Arthur just sandwiches himself against Eames' side and says, almost absently, "Well, don't die yet. You're going to ravish me as soon as I'm done reading this."

"Why can't I ravish you now?"

"Because we can have sex anytime, but you wrote thirty pages and I need to read them immediately," Arthur says, already moving on to the second page.

Wonderful! I knew that podfics were always the way into a fandom. And right now, Arthur/Eames is making me very happy :)
