Everybody's doing something these days, so I settled on this challenge!

Day 1: Your first ship ever

Ah, that one's easy...

Robin and Marion

Robin of Sherwood is the best Robin Hood ever filmed, hands down, and people who haven't seen this show miss out on something really special. The atmosphere, the supernatural element of Herne... it's creepy and scary and funny and it enthralls on so many levels...

One of them being Robin (Michael Praed) and Marion (Judi Trott). They were fantastic together, their chemistry off the charts! I shipped them hard even before I knew what shipping was! My favorite Robin and Marion ever!

Listen to the amazing intro theme here: link, The Hooded Man by Clannad!

"Family Affairs" by sommerspr0ssen | Gen | When John's family is involved in a car accident, only nine-year-old John survives with bad damage to his shoulder. With no relatives left to raise him, John ends up in a children's home and quickly loses any hope that he will ever be considered for adoption. That is, until the Holmes family announces their interest in adopting a brother for their brilliant but troublesome son Sherlock. | 27.400 words

"John", Sherlock says quietly and averts his eyes, which is very unlike him. "I'm... I'm sorry about what I've said to Father. You aren't..." He stops again, pressing his hands into the sides of his legs. "You aren't dull. I... I... I like you, all right? And I'd like you to stay. With us, I mean. At home."

A warm tingle grows in John's belly, seemingly expanding, when he finally understands what Sherlock is trying to say, has tried to achieve by running away on his own. Sherlock likes him. Sherlock wants him to stay.

I think I rec'd this one already but never mind, it's a great fic worth rec'ing twice, so here you have it. I really like Mycroft in this one. And Sherlock's a brat, nothing new there ;P

Inception

Was in the mood for some visually stunning sci-fi, so I chose Inception. Also, there are so many Arthur/Eames stories out there and I just didn't... get the slash in this case. But this time, I was determined to not let anything get in the way of my getting a new slash pairing. So, I put my slash goggles on - you know, the ones that are as thick as the bottom of a shot glass - and off I was on a merry chase after said pairing! *determined*

And now that I saw the movie for the 4th time, when I squint really hard and tilt my head at just the right angle...

There were basically just a handful of meaningful scenes, right?

-- When Eames asked Cobb if he was still working with the "stick in the mud" AKA Arthur, who was the best at his job but had no imagination.
-- Then the banter during the mission planning, when Eames accused Arthur of condescension and Arthur wanted a more solid plan than basically "we'll wing it."
-- The part where Eames had a blast with Arthur going through the "kicks".
-- Eames' "You have to dream bigger, darling" quip with the gun.
-- And the scene where Eames warned Arthur that the security would be coming hard after him and Arthur promised to lead them on a merry chase and added "just go to sleep, Mr. Eames."

And that's it. Wow, fandom really knows how to cook with almost nothing at hand *iz in wonder* But I think I'll give it a try...

So, any tips for a newbie in this fandom? What are the must-reads for the Arthur/Eames pairing?
