Alphas renewed!

SyFy renewed Alphas for S2: link. They ordered 13 episodes. Cool. Now I can actually start watching it - yes, after having been burned, I prefer to wait and see the ratings/renewal first before getting into a show. I think I'll wait for S1 to end, then marathon it in one go...

"An Admirer" by Megan Derr

A gay fantasy story. Kaeck has a secret admirer - and you know, you just know it can't end well, not with Kaeck's crappy luck, so it's like watching a train-wreck in progress and your heart's hurting for him the whole story long because he's just so happy that something's going right for once in his life. Ouch. Well, at least Kaeck gets his happy ending and that's the important thing.

I LOL'd so hard when one of the inspectors whispered to his colleague "Isn't it that old biddy?" when they saw Miss Marple. LOL! And the other inspector's look: O_O! Deer-in-the-headlights would be an understatement. And then she actually waved at him! You could see him start sweating. LOL!

Oh, and I loved her reaction to the colonel's insinuation that only a man could be a film producer: "Inconceivable though it might seem, colonel, one or two women are managing to make their mark on the industry." Miss Marple? You rock!

The most famous guest star in this episode? Jack Davenport AKA Norrington from PotC! He was hilarious!

He half considered just high-tailing it out of there right there and then. But that would mean leaving Xavier with Lehnsherr, and the thought of that made his knuckles itch. Logan wasn’t a sappy guy – in fact he was a seriously unpleasant bastard and proud of the fact. But he’d slept with Xavier, hell, he liked Xavier, and god help him, that meant he couldn’t just ditch the man with someone who really, really seemed like they were a few bananas short of the whole fucking bunch.

This is a fantastic story told entirely from Logan's POV. I just love his inner monologues and quips. He and Erik just don't mix well, LOL!
