Fic rec: Star Trek Reboot
Jan. 28th, 2011 01:10 pm"Almond Butter and Raspberry Jelly" by linelanagain | Kirk/McCoy | H/c, humor | Jim Kirk is not allergic to raspberries. | 1.800 words
LOL'tastic. And very cute :)
He is allergic to twenty-six foods readily available on the Enterprise, but raspberries are not one of them. They are safe. He doesn’t particularly like raspberries, but that is neither here nor there. They do not cause his extremities to swell, or his eyes to water, or his throat to close. They do not cause Bones to stab him in the neck with something that may be medicine, or may be a hypo full of saline Bones keeps on his person to punish Jim (Jim realizes this scenario is unlikely, but he didn’t get where he is by ignoring unlikely scenarios). So he eats raspberries, and pretends he is developing a taste for them, though he is not.

Bones spin-off
Jan. 28th, 2011 09:51 pmAs you probably know, the creators of Bones are planning a spin-off, based on the "The Locator" books by Richard Greener. It's only a back-door pilot, sorta like NCIS:LA's Legend I+II was. If it doesn't pan out - and it could, the House spin-off with the PI guy did not happen after all - it'll be just one ep or the characters could become recurring who knows...
BUT! I really, really, REALLY want the spin-off to happen. Why? According to Ausiello, they cast both of the leads already and they are A-awesome: Geoff Stults (Seventh Heaven) and Michael Clarke Duncan (The Green Mile). Please, let the spin-off happen! *crosses everything that can be crossed*

Watching Fringe
Jan. 28th, 2011 11:05 pmDream Logic and Earthling it was tonight.
* Who IS this Sam Weiss guy who's helping Olivia?
* I loved the anagram thing based on the cards Olivia was given by various people in red.
* I'm glad that there isn't bad blood between Broyles and his ex-wife, it's actually quite refreshing. You could feel she was really happy for him.
* It was so funny, the way Walter tormented Agent Kashner.
* And yay for Peter and Walter's new house!

Interesting...
Jan. 28th, 2011 11:40 pmI didn't know that Santiago Cabrera AKA Lancelot from Merlin would be in Fox's Alcatraz - link - you know, that new JJ Abrams show. Hm... The show is still a no-go me, prison and all that jazz, but it's interesting. And why didn't I realize that he was that nutty painter in Heroes?
