Day 1: Your favorite character

John Sheppard, hands down. Why? It's... JOHN SHEPPARD! He's Mensa level smart and funny and his subordinates just love him and he would die for any one of his people and he's so emotionally stunted he can't tell anybody he likes them and... and... and... he's the geekiest military commander you'll ever find and... ::hands:: He's just so awesome! My favorite character in the whole Stargate franchise!

I watched the special features on the DVDs - the audio commentary, casting, aliens, blooper reel etc. - and I just love the cast. They are such a hilarious bunch, the way they kept giggling and giggling, unable to keep a serious face. That was awesome. And no wonder that people pair up Zach Quinto and Chris Pine in the ST RPS fics - it's rare to see two actors click so perfectly. And I also loved it when Chris Pine talked about Karl Urban, about the amazing chemistry they had from the get-go and how he hoped that it would be explored in the upcoming movies.

There was one thing that got me positively teary-eyed: Leonard Nimoy's speech, the one he gave on his very last day of shooting. It was so touching, when he talked about how grateful he was to the cast and crew... Really touching.

I'm really getting into this series!

Dagger of the Mind: I had to laugh. Kirk refused to listen to McCoy, so McCoy got miffed and saddled Kirk with an ex-flame. LOL! That was a sweet revenge. And it was good to see a girl who actually could go and do stuff herself, not just wait for the rescue, even though she didn't know anything about force fields and stuff like that. But the best part? Spock's face when he found Kirk and the female doctor kissing. Spock's expression was priceless!

The Corbomite Maneuver: Hands down, the best episode yet! I loved smart!Kirk, the way he bluffed his way out of the situation and then broke Enterprise away from the tractor beam. I also loved the scenes between Kirk and McCoy and between Kirk and Spock. It was pitch perfect. And the fact that there actually was no bad guy in the end was the cherry on top. Loved the episode, LOVED IT!
