TV tropes of the NCIS variety

So, last night, I was surfing the TV Tropes web site and reading about the application of said tropes on various TV shows. My favorite - and the most detailed on the site, it looks - is NCIS. The funniest thing?

Papa Wolf + Understatement = Gibbs

LOL! Yes, Gibbs does tend to react rather... fiercely when one of his team members is threatened/in danger/hurt. And boy, is "fierce" an understatement! Remember SWAK? When he pulled a gun at the scientist and threatened to shoot him if he didn't tell him how to save Tony? And Gibbs would actually do it! See sniper!Gibbs in 701!

And I loved this Ziva part:

Berserk Button: Beat the crap out of Ziva, she's okay with it. Shoot at her... fine. But don't, don't call her "Ma'am", and never ever hurt Tony...

LOL! And that's why I love Tony/Ziva so much. Not only is Ziva kick-ass, she is very protective of Tony! Man, I hope that these two get together in the end! (I do prefer Gibbs/Tony slash in fics but I'm not naive enough to think it would ever happen on the show!)

Fic rec: Star Trek (2009)

McCoy gives him a look, like, why must you destroy my soul? or maybe dealing with you gives me hives. What he says, the tips of his ears turning slightly pink, is, “I don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about, Jim.” The mention this again and I’ll gut you like a fish is merely implied, but heavily so.

This must be the hottest fic that I've encountered in this fandom, seriously. I prefer fics with bottom!Bones so this one pushed all my buttons \o/
