Co-creator and showrunner Robert C. Cooper departs SGU. Honestly, don't know what to say. He has been with Stargate for so long - Vegas which he wrote and directed was one of the best episodes of SGA ever! - and SGU is his and Wright's baby. I wonder what made him abandon it...

Fic rec: Smallville
Jun. 20th, 2010 06:02 pm"Omiai" by toomuchplor | Clark/Lex | AU | A long story about Froot Loops, celery salt, dorkdom, and — oh yeah — marriage | ~105.000 words!
Man, what an awesome fic! Over 100k words of plot and angst and schmoop!
Also, two short sequels can be found here (together with an alternate link to "Omiai") - text quoted from one of the sequels.
“You’re, what? Using a wrench?” Lex asked. “Clark, you are a wrench. You’re a wrench and a soldering iron and a hammer and I don’t know why you even have a toolbox.”
“I’m not a screwdriver,” Clark pointed out. “And also? Shut up and get the toolbox, okay? I don’t want to break the pipes by accident.” When Lex didn’t move, Clark glanced over his shoulder at him. “You don’t know where the toolbox is, do you?”
“Why should I know? I’m married to a wrench!” Lex exclaimed, making Clark shush him violently.
“It’s on the shelf by the drill. And if you call me a drill, I swear to god you’re not getting any pie.”

Why I love Smallville - a vid rec

Smallville 109-110
Jun. 20th, 2010 11:17 pm109 Rogue: That was awesome! Lex being all stalkery - in RL, it would scare the living daylights out of me, but his obsession with Clark is amazing. I mean, Victoria was all over him, but he had eyes only for the blur that was Clark on the screen. Ha! I also loved that he didn't bat an eye when Phelan showed him Clark's picture. And when he then came to Clark and warned him against Phelan. You know, I didn't hold it against Clark that he didn't want Lex involved, he had already seen what happened when Jonathan got in Phelan's way, after all. And Clark himself, I thought that he handled the thing with Phelan nicely for a teenager.
110 Shimmer: Ha! Lex was playing both Victoria and his father. Awesome. Already so devious. I love these little chats that Lex has with Clark, about Alexander the Great or Napoleon, they give the story another dimension. Loved all the scenes with Lex and Clark in this ep and for once, Lana didn't grate and neither did Whitney for that matter. I also liked that Lex fired the family - he was sympathetic but not sentimental, he refused to keep people around who might want to harm him. It's also pretty funny that Lex always calls Whitney "The Quarterback" :P
