That he isn't driven by sexuality of any kind. Well, at least not by his own sexuality. Other people's sexual escapades drive him batty because he just doesn't get it! That's so incredibly, incredibly awesome. And I'm so glad that the writers decided to stick with Sheldon's asexuality. Sheldon in an amorous relationship wouldn't be Sheldon, after all. His comments about sex make me LOL every time:

Interesting. Sex works even better than chocolate to modify behavior. I wonder if anyone else has stumbled onto that.
~ Sheldon (TBBT, The Gothowitz Deviation)

What exactly does that expression mean, 'friends with benefits?' Does he provide her with health insurance?
~ Sheldon (TBBT, The Vegas Renormalization)

Excuse me! Wolverine Origin, mini series issue two, page 22, retractable bone claws. You know, if you three spent less time thinking about sex and more time concentrating on comic books, we would have much less of these embarrassing moments.
~ Sheldon (TBBT, The Jiminy Conjecture)

In RL, Sheldon would drive me crazy, that's true. But as a TV character, he's priceless! \o/

Friday without a new SPN ep, that's so, so weird. But, a fic rec!

"Break the lock if it don't fit" by fleshflutter. Sam/Dean. Summary: Sam and Dean get soul-bonded. Dean doesn't cope well. Length: 7.200 words.

Sam froze, his eyes big and full of light. "I can feel how much you love me," he said.

Love soul-bonding fics!

Synopsis... )

Review: A Star Trek: The Next Generation tie-in. And I loved it! Peter David is an amazing writer and I love his ST books! Most male authors - especially those writing tie-ins - don't really "get" female characters or they write the emotional side of the characters wrong, just wrong or they completely omit it - but not Peter David. You can literally feel the characters the way he writes them. There's action and emotions and fun and suspense in this book, Peter David just gets it right. Also, a big part of the book is about Riker - my favorite ST:TNG character - so it made me very, very happy :)

I freely admit that I skipped parts of this ep - they were pushing my embarrassment squick button too strongly. There's a big difference between being funny and being embarrassing. Hey, writers! Go re-watch S1 - and tone down Shawn's stupidity!

Two more eps to go this season. Promo for 415!

WhiteCollarUSA over on Twitter posted some funny bits from a phone interview with Jeff Eastin.

My favorite parts: slightly spoilery for the finale and S2... )

I'm in love with the WhiCo writers. They are so friendly and accessible... BTW, they replied to a question of mine about the bakery from 107: Yes, Neal still owns The Greatest Cake - awesome!!! - and he has more money stowed away. I wonder just how rich Neal is. And what would Peter say about it ;)
