I just had a giggle fit over this Psych casting spoiler! *rotf*

Said spoiler! )

They are really rocking it this season!

This book reminded me a lot of "I Spy Something Bloody" by Josh Lanyon but I liked Lanyon's book better. Oh, don't get me wrong, the characters were lovable and I rooted for them to get together, but...

I have to admit that I don't like BDSM or D/s in books. Especially when it's sprung on me when I don't expect it. This book didn't need this element, sex toys and whatnot, at all. The switch between the top and the bottom would have been enough. I freely admit that the abundance of kink in gay romances lately makes me cranky. It just seems like authors in general are convinced that two man can't love each other without some deeper need to satisfy a kink or two.

McKay: And, I've discovered the ship's name... It's the um... Hippaforalkus.
Sheppard: The what?
McKay: Yes, well it appears to have been named after an ancient general... Hippaforalkus.
Sheppard: Well we're not calling it that!
McKay: Oh good...then what about...
Sheppard: ...And we're not calling it the Enterprise either!

Sheppard: Uh, I'm gonna get back there now, make sure (McKay)'s not distracted.
Weir: Distracted?
Sheppard: Ah, well, the lead scientist, uh, she's very, um...
Weir: Hot?
Sheppard: I was gonna say attractive. But McKay is acting very, uh...
Weir: Smitten?
Sheppard: I was gonna say pathetic.
(He turns to leave)
Weir: Wait. I should head back with you and begin negotiations with the Taranan leader. What's he like?
Sheppard: Oh, you know. He's a guy. Didn't pay much attention. Sorry!

McKay: I have a very firm grasp of Ancient technology.
Sheppard: You’ve blown up entire planets, Rodney!
McKay: That wasn’t my fault!
Sheppard: Well, it didn’t do it by itself!

*rolls on the floor* I just adore the episode Inferno.

I'm a weak-willed creature, as it's been proven in the last couple of weeks. Yes, I bought more books - but it was two for 8 bucks incl. shipping! I mean, come on! Could I have left them there?

And what did I buy?
Carmen Carter's "Star Trek - Dreams of the Raven"
Jean Lorrah's "Star Trek - The Vulcan Academy Murders"
So, yeah... *head/desk*

And I have to wonder. There are tie-ins to ST:TOS, ST:TNG, ST:DS9, ST:V, ST:E, original ST books... Will there be any tie-ins to the new movie besides its novelization? I mean, it would be logical considering the amount of various tie-ins in this fandom...

I've started watching Torchwood again - yes, I still have seven (now only six) episodes to go. From a year ago. Go me.

So, I've watched ep 207, that "reaper" episode, and it was surprisingly scary. And good. I didn't remember the show being this engaging. It's funny what tricks your memory can play. This episode reminded me a lot of Supernatural - let's solve a problem by creating a bigger one, go us! XP

On a shallow note - Cpt. Jack is a gorgeous, gorgeous man *nods sagely*
