katikatThis book reminded me a lot of "I Spy Something Bloody" by Josh Lanyon but I liked Lanyon's book better. Oh, don't get me wrong, the characters were lovable and I rooted for them to get together, but...
I have to admit that I don't like BDSM or D/s in books. Especially when it's sprung on me when I don't expect it. This book didn't need this element, sex toys and whatnot, at all. The switch between the top and the bottom would have been enough. I freely admit that the abundance of kink in gay romances lately makes me cranky. It just seems like authors in general are convinced that two man can't love each other without some deeper need to satisfy a kink or two.
