These days, I've been reading the SGA tie-in novel "Blood Ties" by Sonny Whitelaw. I've been told that it's a bad book, that McKay doesn't behave like the real McKay etc. But I'm 1/3 through and so far, I really like it. I mean, Dr. Larance is a barely disguised Mary-Sue but since I really love outsider's POV, I don't mind much. It just shows that one can't judge a book based on other people's opinion of it. I mean, it still can take a nose-dive, that's true, but so far, so good *nods*

Tonight, USA airs the season finale of Psych! I feel so sad. This season has been really amazing and I don't want it to end *pouts* But did you see the summary of the finale?

\o/ )

*dolphin noises* OMGOMGOMG! *runs in circles* It sounds so incredibly good and intriguing! Can we hope for at least a bit of h/c again? *flappy hands*

ETA: YouTube's promo for tonight's ep. Eeeeeeeeep!

Yay, if everything goes according to the plan, there will be four SGA books published this year! I mean, if they actually stop pushing the publishing dates back every month! I even wrote an email to Fandemonium and asked about that so we will see what they will answer.

But the books look so good!
James Swallow's "Nightfall": Summary... )

Peter Evans' "Angelus": Summary... )

David Niall Wilson and Patricia Lee Macomber's "Brimstone": Summary... )

Kevin Hosey's "The Internal Darkness": no synopsis yet

I'm so happy that they will keep publishing these books! I mean, I know that it's not a TV show, no moving pictures and gorgeous actors, but the team adventures are just as real! Awesome, awesome, awesome!

I'm also looking forward to the SG-1 tie-ins and Psych novels! I just ordered Psych's "A Mind is a Terrible Thing to Read" by William Rabkin and I'm curious, really curious about this novel :)

It's just too bad that there aren't more Supernatural novels - and that the novels aren't written first and foremost by fans, the way SG-1 and SGA's are. I quite dislike it when an author is hired to write a tie-in novel for a show/movie that they haven't even seen yet, the way they did it with Decandido (who then boasted about how he understood the characters perfectly etc. *rolls eyes*). It's just too bad that there isn't a publishing house like Fandemonium that would pick up Supernatural. It will be a sad thing if the Winchesters go under with the show... :(
