Quickie

* I ordered S9 of Stargate SG-1. Yeah, yeah, I know, I still don't have seasons 2-8 but with S9, they basically rebooted the whole franchise with the Ori saga and if I want to understand what's going on in the movies... I know that there's the small featurette "The Road Taken" on the The Ark of Truth DVD but to sum up two seasons in 10 minutes... Nya, nya. Besides, I need to get to know the characters of Mitchell and Vala first.

* I started translating Michael Williams' "Galen Beknighted". Well, ugh. I wasn't all that excited about the prequel - "Weasel's Luck" - so I'm crossing fingers here that this book is better - but I don't really hold my breath, to be honest.

* And they picked up 90210 for a full season. Good for its fans. But Ostroff's words don't really fill me with confidence where SPN is concerned: "The successful addition of 90210 has taken The CW another step forward in building a cohesive schedule that defines this network as a destination for young women with shows that get our audience talking -- and watching." I bet that she had a cow when she saw the 64% spike in women 18-49 for SPN's premiere.

Coffee!

Hmmmmmm, coffee is good, good coffee *grabby hands* Last night, I read "His Majesty's Dragon" until 1am and now I feel a bit headachy. And sleepy! But the book is so good! That's why - hmmmmmmm, coffee!

That Galen book

You know, "Galen Beknighted", sometimes, it's boring but there are places in the book, that are absolutely brilliant:

"Sooner or later, Enid," Bayard claimed of late, "your father will fancy he is some sort of reptile or amphibian. The next thing we know, we shall be calling him down from sunning on the battlements or murking around in the moat."

Don't forget!

The new show The Mentalist starts on CBS tonight, dear folks, don't forget. I saw the pre-aired pilot and it was all kinds of awesome! And also, it has a new ep of NCIS as a lead-in. Isn't that just great?

I decided to drop Heroes. S1 was okay, S2 bored me to tears and spoilers for S3 just left me feeling meh about the whole series. After The Sarah Connor Chronicles, it's another Monday show gone for me. All I will watch on Monday is Chuck then :)
