Feb. 1st, 2008 07:30 pmPifeedback forum is down at the moment so I'm using the very rough estimates from AlloCiné Blog: last night's Supernatural brought in 3 mil. and Smallville 3.80 mil. viewers. That's better than what I hoped for, really since SPN went against the premiere of Lost. But these numbers aren't final so they'll definitely drop into 2.90+ mil. later. But still, even Smallville - and that's CW's best scripted show - was down, facing a Lost clip show that recapped the previous seasons. 800 000 difference in viewers is better than the usual results because it means a retention of 78 %!
I think we didn't do bad. It could have been better but as it, I'm quite happy with it :)

ETA: Fast nationals from Pifeedback:
- Supernatural: 2.98 mil, Adults 1.3/3
- Smallville: 3.82 mil, Adults 1.6/4
- Retention SPN out of SV: 78%
- It's really funny to read the entries in the Pifeedback forum today, how they are all patting each other on the shoulders, praising how well Lost did last night. And when someone dares to say that they didn't like the premiere, they are stomped into the ground! XD
- I really really need these two books:
- "The Gay Male Sleuth in Print and Film: A History and Annotated Bibliography" by Drewey Wayne Gunn and
- "Gay Detective Novel: Lesbian and Gay Main Characters & Themes in Mystery Fiction" by Judith A. Markowitz!
