Things that made me sad...

So, Heath Ledger is dead. Accidental overdose or maybe suicide. I really don't get it. The guy had money, a job and promising future, a little daughter for pete's sake. And not even she was worth it for him to seek out real help. I feel sorry for him because he was a human being but mostly, I feel sad for his family and child *sigh*

Jared was really cute at the con, wasn't he? But some things he said made me sad...

- that he himself considers the actresses regulars because they are around that much...
- that Bela and Ruby changed the brothers' dynamics and that ( this could be considered a very mild spoiler, nothing specific though )

(he didn't look all that happy when he said that, IMO)...
- but what made me especially sad was what he said about them losing valuable crew members and great friends who couldn't just sit around and twiddle their thumbs waiting for the strike to end because they had families to feed and mortgages to pay *sad*

*sigh* Yeah, whatever *throws hands in the air*

Interesting things...

. But I'm glad that we will see SPN's Nightshifter repeated in SV's place on Feb. 21st!

And One Tree Hill fans will be glad to hear that their show broke the 3 mil. threshold this week, bringing in 3.05 mil. viewers with 1.4/4 demo and growing 1.51 mil. and 133% out of the repeat of its lead-in Reaper.

Randomness, thy name is...

I started reading "Ja-Dou: Empire of Whispers" by Mamiya Oki, the author of "The Demian Syndrome". It's such a cool manga though the characters' names are really hard to remember, this being a Japanese fantasy ;P

I usually don't go for female characters on shows, mostly I kind of dislke them, but there are some that I simply adore even though they dropped in halfway through. One of the characters was Maggie Mackenzie on due South aka Benton Fraser's sister. That woman rocked my socks! I loved it that she was Fraser's sister. But then, I love Jessica Steen in all her roles because she always plays very strong, confident women - like Sheriff Kathleen from SPN's The Benders *points at her icon*

And since I'm already talking about due South - I love DS fanfiction, especially the way RayK is portrayed! My most favorite quote of his in fics? "That's not buddies!" It makes me laugh every time. Especially the way zabira says it in her podfics! *rotf*
