And what's most heartbreaking? When people blame Nate? When they attack him? He doesn't defend himself. At all. He lets them curse him and yell at him and call him names, blame him... And he just stands there and lets them. And all he wants is to find Audrey and stay alive long enough for her to kill him. I think that if there wasn't the chance his death could save all those people, Nate would've killed himself already. I mean, he has never been the happiest guy but now? Lucas Bryant does an amazing job, showing off Nate's quiet, bottomless despair. My heart aches watching it.
The best thing, though? Duke's friendship. I mean, he has always been the one who poked and proded Nate, who made fun of him and argued with him - but you can see how much it bothers him when people attack Nate and Nate doesn't defend himself. Remember Duke's shock in 401, when Nate told him he was serious, that he really planned to die once they found Audrey? I'm glad that they have become such close friends again.
Other than that, I love Jennifer and I'm curious where the thing with Lexie and William is headed. Curious!
Both 401 and 402 had only 0.4 demo points in the ratings. So, just a fair warning, I think it would be better to consider S4 the show's last...
