katikat... That JJ Abrams cast Benedict Cumberbatch in Star Wars and that's the reason why he dropped out of Benicio Del Toro's Crimson Peak, because the filming schedules clashed: link. Another web is saying, that he will be playing a Sith, a major part in all three upcoming SW movies: link.
I'm all for it, even though I take it with a bag of salt, this is just a rumor, nothing confirmed. But I would LOVE to see him in SW. It would double or even triple my interest in it. Though I hope he won't be the bad guy, again - he was awesome in STID, so creepy and menacing, but I would prefer him as the good guy, for once. I mean, all his blockbuster parts have been villainous so far. But in the end, I just want him in SW, that would be enough for me, I must admit.
