Doctor Who 101-103

katikatOh. God. The pilot was AWFUL! Seriously, if I had been watching it on TV, I wouldn't have gone back for more. Terrible writing, terrible CGI, terrible music. Sheesh on a pogo stick. How did Russell T. Davis get this show off the ground after such a terrible beginning is beyond me.
I mean, Rose was a loser with no prospects, a dead-end job, no education and a dumb, cowardly boyfriend. And the Doctor! Since when does the Doctor not care about individual people, even when he's saving the planet? He felt more like a watered down version of Sherlock. Gosh :(
Episode 2 was so much better! It's really weird to think that both eps were written by RTD! I loved the Doctor's reaction to Tree's death. That was awesome.
And episode 3, written by Mark Gatiss. Gosh, the guy is a busy little bee, isn't he? Loved Gwyneth, she was the best character in the ep: strong, beautiful and courageous. And so kind.
