Nate's drinking's really turning me off. I now remember why I stopped watching this series live. My father was an alcoholic and I have no tolerance or sympathy for substance abusers. Boohoo, your life is hard! Like nobody else's isn't. That doesn't give you the right to make others miserable. Especially in a job like theirs. Nate's the tactician, the others are putting their lives into his hands. One slip-up and they could end up in jail or worse, dead. And he doesn't care one iota!
And Sophie. It's really pathetic how she keeps pursuing Nate. Nate's obviously not ready for another relationship yet she keeps nagging and nagging, all the time. She can't talk about anything else but their relationship - or the lack thereof - whether they are alone or with the others. Very, very pathetic.
Which is why I draw all my pleasure from the various variations of the Eliot/Hardison/Parker scenes. They are always so amusing, refreshingly so. I just adore Eliot and Parker's interactions, they are so much like siblings, always bickering. And Hardison! Man, what a gorgeous guy. Aldis Hodge is an amazing actor! I love that he can pull anything the writers throw at him. These three are simply my happy place!
My favorite episode so far? The Miracle Job. I laughed so hard I actually had tears in my eyes. And I love that we always find out some tidbit about each of them in every episode. It's lovely.
