Arrow 115-119

I don't like Arrow as much when it focuses on the soapy stuff. I prefer some serious ass kicking.
Just bullet points:
- Roy is actually a cool character. Yeah, he's feeling a bit too sorry for himself for my liking but I don't mind Colton Haynes in the part as much as I feared, which is good. Also, thanks to her romance with Roy, Thea has actually something to do besides feeling sorry for herself too.
- Moira. I can't believe she betrayed her friend to save her own sorry ass. Well, I actually I do. She had her own son kidnapped and tortured after all.
- Tommy. I'm glad that he isn't taking any crap from Oliver but to leave the club and go back to working for his father? I mean, I get it, he now sees his father in a completely different light, still... That was a bit too abrupt 180 for my liking.
- I'm glad that Oliver and Diggle are BFFs. I think that Oliver and Tommy simply grew apart or outgrew each other. Their friendship worked because they were both shallow playboys before. But now... their goals are simply too different.
- Laurel and her father remain useless characters.
- Huntress. Eh. Can we not see her again?
- Felicity rocks, of course.
- Shado and Slade. The perfect teachers for Oliver. I like the way it's shaping up, his experience on the island, you literally see him growing up. At the same time, I prefer the here and now. The flasbacks interrupt the flow, IMHO.
It's actually quite surprising just how many awesome female characters this show has. From the description, you would think it would be a male driven thing. Huh...
