First thing first: NBC pulled next week's episode of Hannibal because of the Boston bombing. The episode is apparently too grisly, not because of any relation to Boston or bombing or terrorism. Source.

Oh, for Christ's sake! Why not drop the whole show? This is a series about serial killers! Some of them eat their victims! Some of them impale them! This show IS GRISLY AND VIOLENT, which is the FUCKING POINT! People who are sensitive to on-screen violence shouldn't be watching it in the first place. And now, Bryan Fuller, the show's fucking creator, expresses concern about the content? So, before Monday children murdering children seemed a good idea to Fuller and now it's not? Why make a show about serial killers in the first place, then?

Yes, I'm angry. Not because of the ep, our AXN will carry it as planned. But the show is already struggling in the ratings - 1.6 --> 1.7 --> 1.4 - and this will not help! I would understand it if said episode was in any way even remotely related to what happened in Boston or Texas, that would be sensitive. But this? I don't get you, America*. I really, really don't.

ETA: * To explain: I don't get this attitude - rescheduling, I mean - because it simply doesn't happen here. When our TV reschedules stuff, it's "to show" something, not to "not to show" something. Like they decide to air a movie staring an actor who just passed away or to air news or stuff like that. In my country, every viewer is responsible for their own mental well-being. Nobody is holding anybody hostage in front of the TV. If the audience finds something disturbing, despite the "Viewer's discretion is advised" warning, there's the OFF button. So yeah, I just don't get it.

But now to the episode itself...

I adored how proud Hannibal seemed when Will talked about the copycat killer, calling what he did art. I wonder if he was proud of himself or liked that Will saw him as an artist. I also adored, how Hannibal stopped Jack when he kept pushing Will in the cabin, how he stood up for Will. Or when he said he trusted Will to speak for himself.

I loved how awkward Will was at the beginning, saying he should go and cover himself when Alana arrived. I loved his dogs too. And gosh, his nightmares! I just hope that now that Hannibal planted the brother of his first victim as the culprit, disproving Will's theory, Will won't stop trusting his gift, that would miff me.

Oh, another thing I loved was how subtly Hannibal manipulated Abigail once he found out that she recognized his voice. SNEAKY!
