Hannibal 102

katikatI just spent the whole evening re-watching both episodes that are out. I've seen ep 102 3 times already today! And I can't get enough. There's just something so incredibly addictive about the show. I can't remember the last time I was this obsessed with a series. SPN or WhiCo, IIRC. Man, it's so, so good...
Before I start swooning about ep 102, let me talk about Jack Crawford aka Laurence Fishburne first. For me, the defining moment of his relationship with Will was this:
This is basically Jack and his attitude towards Will in a nutshell: Protectiveness with a capital P! Whenever someone just thinks of hurting Will, feathers fly, seriously! Which is why the character of Jack reminds me so much of Laurence Fishburne's other famous role, Morpheus in Matrix. Remember Morpheus and Neo? That's Jack and Will right there.
Now to episode 102: So, it was Brian Zeller, the technician, who fed Freddie Lounds the info. I wonder if she quoted him when she wrote that Will was demented, if Brian really thinks that of Will. I bet he will end up liking Will and then he will regret this. I bet this whole thing will come back and bite Brian in the ass...
I adored how Hannibal unmasked Freddie in his office, that he knew she was a tabloid reporter and that she was after Will. And Hannibal didn't mind that she recorded her own conversation with him, but he did mind that she recorded Will's. I wonder if Hannibal was angry - well, as angry as Hannibal can be - about what she wrote about Will or if he saw it as an opportunity to manipulate Will and get him where he wanted him.
I adored the conversations Will and Hannibal had. It always feels like I'm watching a stage production, a theater piece. I guess it's the way Hannibal's office is set. I just loved that Hannibal helped Will figure out what the killer wanted and also that he boosted Will's confidence and helped him admit that he liked killing the culprit in ep 101. That was wonderful...
And yay for Jack's and Alana's protectiveness of Will. It needed to be mentioned.
Also, I just adore the dream sequences, the stag and the music. It's wonderful... *happy sigh*
