I loved Takumi because of how far removed he was from your stereotypical male. He was sweet and gentle and physically weaker than the girl who was in love with him, Akira. Where Akira was loud, he was quiet, where she was rude, he was sweet... And he liked her exactly the way she was. And I think he would've liked her even if he never found out that she was actually a girl. He was simply wonderful...
